Yes, I am running for reelection.

Every time for the last four years that someone has asked me if I would run for election to a second term, I’ve replied, “Yes.”

Even as a candidate, I knew it would take at least two terms to effect the change that we know Hartsville needs.

To say it again: both as a candidate and as an elected public servant, I said that I am committed to at least two terms in office. Government work takes time.

I am keeping that promise and I’m excited about it.

In this year’s election, those of us who want to run for election will officially file for office in August before the election in November.

And, yes, I will be one of them.
